FOOD DELIVERY VAN CONCEPT
The basic Trado stainless steel chassis and separate composite body design opens the door to many possibilities for a wide range of electric commercial vehicles made specifically for individual markets. One such example is the food delivery vehicle shown below.
This is a purpose built vehicle specifically designed to deliver food and groceries. The van is equipped with a chiller unit which can keep frozen food frozen or fresh food chilled. The chiller control unit is mounted in the roof to maximise storage space and together with the cab forward design offers a greater load area than conventional food delivery vans of the same size.
The vehicle also has ambient storage space for general food and non food products that don’t require chilling or freezing.
The proportions of space allocated to ambient, chilled and frozen products can be tailored to the specific requirements of each client.
Roller shutter doors on each side give access to the fresh food storage areas where producs are racked in separate containers. As the shutters rise up side steps automatically lower to give the driver better access to the upper storage levels. These close up automatically as the shutter is closed.
The vehicle features air suspension which allows It to be lowered to the ground when in a stationary position also making it easier to access the upper storage levels
Chilled and frozen food is housed in four separate chiller cabinets mounted at the rear section on each side. This configuration can be changed and adapted to suit each customers requirements.
The vehicle has all the quick charging and range benefits of the basic Trado van so it could be fully charged from zero in 6 minutes to give a range of 800 miles if required.
